How to use tags to segment your data and create simple CRM in Skylight

Tag contacts in Skylight, create custom groups -
With growing ways of communicating, the web is becoming a major player in the  growth of today’s businesses and associated networks. With this, small businesses lack the funds available to larger organizations to manage that growing data. But off-the-shelf packages can help non-technical teams maintain a smooth-running client face, as well as for internal team support. These things have a direct impact on the team’s responsiveness to clients and the outside world.

Skylight takes tagging to a whole new level

Skylight can help you cross-match your entire database for the skills of talent, equipment specifications, or the type of documents you need for a given client or project. By using Tags and Tag Groups you have complete freedom on how you feel grouping your data.

Tags help you organise information in a way that makes sense to your business and industry. Once created, they can be applied to contacts, resources and projects, and then later can be used for filtering and matching projects to resources intelligently.

Similar tags are sorted into “groups” to keep them organised. So examples of tag groups and contents could be:

But you dont want to go tagging mad! The idea is to keep it simple. You can always grow the list as you go.
